Hello and welcome to my blog! I was inspired to create a place to interact with fellow lovers of plants, being outside and just life in general when I started looking at other blogs online and getting a lot of good advice and ideas from them.

I love growing things, and definitely got my obsession with flowers from my mom who paid her way through college by working at a flower shop.

3 years ago, we bought a new house that had the saddest back yard ever – we’re talking beds upon beds of nothing but mulch, knockout roses galore (I have a post on why this is depressing) and a grove of unkept magnolia trees.

Fast forward 3 years and while our yard is still in the adolescent stages of maturation, we now have an herb garden, a veggie garden, a butterfly garden, a cutting garden and so much more!
